Restaurant Details: Taj Mahal, 318 E.6th Street between 1st and 2nd Avenues. (Please note this restaurant is in the middle of the street. Please do not confuse it with Taj, which is closer to 2nd Avenue.)
Meeting Time: 8 p.m., unless otherwise noted.
Reservation Policy: Attendance requires a $7 deposit to reserve a seat. At the meeting, you will be asked for an additional $10 for a total outlay of $17 that covers attendance plus an Indian dinner special including tax and tip. Unfortunately we have had too many people say they would attend and then not show up because of a lack of any real sense of commitment. Since this prevents other people from attending who might have joined had they received enough notice, we insist on a deposit. We use PayPal which provides you with the ability to pay either by credit card or cash transfer from your account.
First Time Attendees Deposit Policy: First time attendees will pay the deposit, but will have all but $2 of it applied to their dinner. For Indian food, attendees will contribute only $5 more for dinner with tax and tip included.
Free Attendance and Meal for Meeting Organizer: If you would like to help arrange the meeting by choosing the articles and writing the introduction for the e-mail and the website, your deposit will be waived for that meeting and the group will pay for your dinner (up to $10).
