Is it possible that after a detailed review of the facts the official version of what happened on 9/11 is simply an implausible story? Dr. David Ray Griffin, a Christian theologian and Claremont College professor for over 30 years, thinks so and will present his case at Anthology Film Archives on Saturday, October 15, 2005. While Dr. Griffin has published over two dozens books with an emphasis on theology, he is also the author of The New Pearl Harbor: Disturbing Questions about the Bush Administration and 9/11 as well as The 9/11 Commission Report: Omissions & Distortions.
Dr. Griffin has performed thorough research and asked the difficult questions that the mainstream media has been reluctant to address. Of the latter book, Richard Falk, Princeton University Professor of International Law, Emeritus, says "Griffin establishes himself, alongside Seymour Hersh, as America's number one bearer of unpleasant, yet necessary public truths." Colleen Kelly, sister of 9/11 victim Bill Kelly, Jr., and co-founder of September Eleventh Families for Peaceful Tomorrows, says when referring to Omissions & Distortions, "it will be painful, and disturbing, to turn the pages of this thoughtful and meticulously researched book. But turn we must. For we owe the truth to those who died, and nothing less." Omissions & Distortions is best summarized, in Dr. Griffin's own words, with a list of 115 issues unanswered by the 9/11 Commission's Report (http://www.ny911truth.org/articles/571-page_lie-DRG.htm).
Dr. Griffin's presentation for the New York audience on Saturday, October 15, 2005 will include new research based upon video footage and recently released oral histories of firefighters and medical workers at the World Trade Center. The Santa Barbara Independent describes Dr. Griffin as one who is "disarmingly calm, and speaks in the unflappably precise and deliberate style of a lifelong academic."
This event will evoke a new level of consciousness about 9/11. The events of that day have changed the world. We deserve to know what really happened, and the first step is to ask the difficult questions.
