What To Do About Warming?

Featuring
James Hansen

and

Steven Hayward
F. K. Weyerhaeuser Fellow, American Enterprise Institute

Moderator
Harvey Shapiro
Contributing Editor, Institutional Investor

The debate about whether global warming exists is over. Even global warming skeptics say that production of carbon dioxide by human activity is contributing to increased temperatures. The scientific debate is now around whether the trend is accelerating and the trend’s consequences. Are global caps on emissions necessary? What are the implications for energy costs? How can developing nations be convince to participate? Can we rely on future innovations to control emissions without the costly consequences of reducing our use of coal and oil?
