Before they are faced with the situation, individuals can declare that they do want to be kept alive through life support.  Should individuals have the right to choose to terminate their own life when they feel life is no longer worth living due to medical ailments?  If so, at what point should family members or legal guardians have the right to decide if someone else's life is no longer worth living?  What about the state in the absence of a legal guardian?
